At the Library

This week the Summer Reading program plans at the main library and all branches will change as Mr. Villegas had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. So, each library will design a program that fits the needs of their communities.
Please touch base with your library of choice to learn more about programming: Tuesday, June 14, Turkey Creek branch library at 10 a.m., the Chataignier branch library at 2 p.m.; June 15, Wednesday, at the Pine Prairie branch library at 10 a.m., and the Mamou branch at 2 p.m.; and, June 16, Thursday, the Basile branch library at 10 a.m., and at the Ville Platte main library at 2 p.m. Don't forget to register for the reading programs that are unique to each branch library that reward kids with prizes for books, Ebooks, and audiobooks that they check out and enjoy! We have a program for the adults too! Just ask!

Ville Platte main library will host Medicare Seminars on Tuesday, June 14 from 1 – 4 p.m. and also on Wednesday, June 15 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. These informational seminars are free to the public.
Note to our Quilters: The group will now meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday mornings due to Summer Reading programs.
Closure notice: In observance of the federal holiday, Juneteenth, the main library will be closed Saturday, June 18, and the main library and all branch libraries will be closed on Monday, June 20.
