At the Library

Summer Reading all over Evangeline Parish has begun! This week from Tuesday, June 7, through Thursday, June 9, you can enjoy the unique talents of Chatty the Mime from New Orleans. Chatty the Mime has captivated audiences for years with her playful antics and whimsical routines. Skilled at object manipulation, she is best known for her juggling skills, especially with her trademark bowler hat. Chatty entertains all ages with juggling, clowning, mime, and magic. She will perform at the Turkey Creek branch library on Tuesday at 10 a.m. then at the Chataignier branch library at 2 p.m. On Wednesday, she will be at the Pine Prairie branch library at 10 a.m. then the Mamou branch at 2 p.m. On Thursday, she will perform at the Basile branch library at 10 a.m. and then at the Ville Platte main library at 2 p.m. offering families multiple opportunities to see Chatty the Mime while she is in Evangeline Parish! And, don't forget to register for the reading programs that are unique to each branch library that reward kids with prizes for books, ebooks, and audiobooks that they check out and enjoy. We have a program for the adults too. Just ask!
