The library Board of Control will meet this Thursday, May 19, at noon in the multipurpose room of the main library in Ville Platte. The agenda is posted.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 4, for our Summer Reading Kickoff event with the impressive Kubuki Dancers! They will be “breaking it down” at the main library at 10 a.m. for a morning of free entertainment, inspiration, and motivation. We hope to draw the interest of our tweens and teens especially! Here are the dates for our June performers. This is an early posting just to get the information out. Details will be posted next week on our website and printed on the calendars for pick-up: June 7, 8, 9: Chatty the Mime, June 14, 15, 16: Native American Storyteller Peter Villegas, June 21, 22, 23: Ventriloquist Donna and Pals, June 28, 29, 30: Honey Do Petting Zoo.
