The Evangeline Parish Library Board of Control has called a special meeting for Monday, Nov. 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the main library in Ville Platte to consider a resolution proposed by the Evangeline Parish Police Jury to call an election for the rededication of a portion of the tax millage of the Evangeline Parish Library. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
The Basile branch library is offering a French Table every other Tuesday at 9 a.m. The next one is November 23. Additionally, their story hour is every other Thursday at 10 a.m., and the next one will be on November 18. The Mamou branch offers Coffee and Conversation at 8 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays. The Pine Prairie branch Coffee Club can now meet every morning, and, on Wednesdays at 9 a.m., they can join in on a bingo game too. And, do ask about their Puzzle Club when you visit! The main library and all branches will be hosting a Thanksgiving Coloring Contest ages 0-3, 4-7, 8-11, and 12-17. Pick up your coloring sheet at your branch and return by November 23 for the judging and cool prizes!! The Quilting Club will meet Thursday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m. in the multipurpose room.
The following branches continue to be drop-off points for any EPAR donations that the public or non-profits would like to make: Mamou, Pine Prairie & Turkey Creek. The main library in Ville Platte is the exclusive drop-off point for the Ville Platte Pound. Many, many thanks to the amazing donations that have been made to date to both!
