Judge rules Chief Lartigue can run

After an all-day hearing on Wednesday, August 3, the honorable Judge Chuck West ruled Ville Platte Chief of Police Neal Lartigue could run for re-election. Judge West found there is some doubt to Chief Lartigue's residency at 801 N. Chataignier but the law provides for any any doubt to be resolved by the voters. Judge West also found the law provides for the widest variety of candidates. Al Perry Thomas, through his attorney, was granted an appeal with the 3rd Circuit.
