Ray Charles Fontenot, Jr., age 33, was indicted on the charge of second degree murder for the death of Brittany Guillory Fontenot on Wednesday, March 26. The charge stems from an incident which occurred on or about April 13, 2023. Arraignment on this case is set for May 5.
In a separate matter, Kassie Ann Butler, age 28, was indicted on the charges of first-degree rape (two counts), sexual battery of persons with infirmities (two counts), and cruelty to the infirmed (two counts). The charges stem from incidents which occurred on or between June 1, 2024 and October 7, 2024. Arraignment on this case is set for April 10.
Both arraignments are set before the Honorable Judge Marcus Fontenot.
