On the 24 th of February 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department received a call, that there was
an individual coming to the courthouse with a gun. Narcotics agents and Agents with the department
of Probation and Parole secured the courthouse. Once the courthouse was secured Agents went and
found the suspect located at a residence on black lake road. Upon arrival on Black Lake Road in the St.
Landry area, the suspect came out of the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
Narcotic Agents and Probation and Parole Agents then conducted a search and check of all the
individuals in the residence. Agents located weapons and illegal narcotics, which resulted in several
arrest.

On the 28 th of February 2022 a traffic stop conducted by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department
Narcotics Unit, led to the discovery of illegal narcotics. The stop occurred on Chataignier Road.

On the 23 rd of February 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department Narcotics Unit, recovered a
stolen vehicle reported from the city limits of Ville Platte on Cabot Road. The vehicle was report stolen
the night before. Upon searching the vehicle Agents recovered illegal narcotics and a stolen gun.
The narcotics and gun were seized and turned over to the Ville Platte Police Department, as part of
there case. This case is still open at this time.
