VILLE PLATTE - On the third ballot, the Evangeline Parish School Board voted 6-5 to appoint Kimberly Coleman to fill the vacancy in District 8.
The vacancy was created when district court judge, Marcus Fontenot, declared former member Wanda Skinner did not meet the domiciliary requirements for the office.
