Tim Causey, the Ward 5 Constable, has announced his candidacy for Evangeline Parish Police Jury in District 4. The election is set for Saturday, October 14.
In his announcement, Causey said the following:
“My name is Tim Causey. I am formally announcing my candidacy for police juror in District 4.”
“I am a lifelong resident of District 4. I grew up in Lake Cove when neighbors helped one another and there was no need to lock your doors. I was raised knowing the value of hard work, the importance of going to Church, and knowing how abundantly blessed we are to live in a parish with great hunting and fishing.”
“I have been married to Melissa Johnson Causey for over 40 years. We are blessed with three children, Aaron, Linsey, and Whitney, all graduates of Pine Prairie High School.”
“I have worked diligently over the years to provide a living for my family. I want to use that hands-on experience to serve the people of District 4. I began earning a living as a roofing contractor, which is a trade I learned from my family. I drove a school bus for 11 years for Pine Prairie High School while working as a park ranger at Crooked Creek Recreational Park. Most importantly, I have had hands-on experience working on the Parish Road Maintenance crew for Evangeline Parish Police Jury for 16 years serving as supervisor for seven years. I have worked to build roads, patch and pave roads, lay pipe, fix drainage, cut grass, or whatever was necessary to improve our community. I know, first hand, the equipment needed and what work needs to be done for the betterment of District 4.”
“Our community has entrusted me to serve as constable for five terms, nearing 30 years. I am very thankful and very humbled to be continually re-elected. Even when I have been faced with difficult tasks, I have always worked hard to earn the confidence, trust, and respect of the people I represent, always remembering that I am elected to serve others.”
“I am humbly asking for your support as a candidate for police juror in District 4. Let me use my years of hands-on experience as well as my experience as a public official to better serve you, the people. I will bring a wealth of integrity, honesty, and service to this office with an open door, easy access policy to all the people of the district. I look forward to meeting and serving every member of the district. I am asking for your support and your prayers. Please vote Tim Causey #59 for police juror in District 4.
