The Evangeline Parish School Board will have new representation for District 8 after Jerry “Mr.” B” Bottley defeated Kimberly Coleman in a special election on Saturday, October 11. Coleman was appointed to the board to fill the unexpired term of Wanda Skinner until the special election could be held.
