The 2023 Louisiana Swine Festival Pageants are set for Saturday, October 14 at McFarlain Memorial Gym at Basile High School.
The main pageant will begin at 4 p.m. for the crowning of Miss La. Swine Festival for contestants between the ages of 17 and 23. The 4 p.m. pageant will also crown Miss Teen for 15 and 16 year olds and Ms. Swine Festival for those older than 23. Interviews start at 9 a.m. for these three categories. The 4 p.m. event will also crown Sheriff Charles Guillory as king and honor Senator Heather Cloud as grand marshal.
The baby and toddler pageants start at 9 a.m. for the youngest contestants with the King Porky - Queen Petunia Pageant at 12 noon for boys and girls ages 6, 7, and 8. The Junior Pageants follow at 2 p.m. for the crowning of girls in three age groups ranging from 9 years to 14 years.
Deadline to enter the pageants is Wednesday, October 11, 2023. No entry forms will be accepted after this date and fees are non-refundable.
