Evangeline Parish Police Jury President Bryan Vidrine, as a result of the current weather conditions, has ordered a parish wide burn ban on all private burnings in the parish, including all municipalities.
The ban includes anything with an open flame that produces ember. The wind can carry floating embers away from the original fire and start a spot fire.
