The 20th annual Swamp Pop Reunion Dance was held at the Ville Platte Civic Center on Monday, February 16.
During the celebration, Roy Chaffin and Tommy McLain were honored after both Swamp Pop stars had passed away since last year’s event. This year’s celebration also featured performances from such stars as Kenny Tibs, Tet Dur, TK Hulin, Johnnie Allen, and Dustin Granger. Playing with each Swamp Pop legend was Willie Tee and Cypress. In the top left photo, Kenny Tibbs performs his song “(Holly Beach) Under the Boardwalk.” In the top right photo, Tet Dur performs Rod Bernard’s “This Should Go On Forever.” In the bottom photo, members of the sellout crowd enjoy a dance during the evening.
