Communities gather for Halloween events

A large crowd turned out for the Rock The Block in Ville Platte, on Thursday, October 24, and the Third Annual Boo in da Mou along Sixth Street in Mamou, on Sunday, October 20. Many local businesses from both municipalities gathered to dress up and hand out candy to the youth of the communities. In the top left photo, those lucky enough to be in the front of the line in Ville Platte walk by a Pirates of the Caribbean themed display from Evangeline Bank and Trust Company. In the bottom left photo, Dr. Ellis Landreneau (left) is dressed as Gaston from Beauty and the Beast and gives a fist bump to a young visitor on Thursday evening.
