An escaped prisoner has been apprehended, according to a release from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Joseph Jermaine Charles walked away from the Evangeline Parish Jail while working on a clean-up detail crew as a trustee around 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 16. The inmate was incarcerated on a hold for probation at the time of the incident.
