EPSO investigates shots fired on JFK Ave.

On the 16 th of October 2022 at approximately 12:01 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department responded to a call of
shots fired on John F. Kennedy Avenue. Upon arriving on scene Deputies found numerous fired shell casings. Upon
further investigation it was determined that multiple suspects approached a high school homecoming party and started
shooting at the students in attendance. Two cars and a home were struck with gunshots. There were approximately 20
people at the party and luckily no one was hit by gun shots.
This is an active ongoing investigation. Sheriff Charles R. Guillory is asking the public to please come forward with any
information concerning this shooting. The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department cannot solve this crime without the
public’s help.
