Disturbance leads to pursuit

On July 13, 2022 Pine Prairie Police received a call about a disturbance on 5 th Street at Walnut Street.
Upon arrival officers observed a female identified as Linda Anderson (1-11-1981) of Ville Platte,
hollering and causing a scene attempting to intimidate a witness of a crime. When officers with Pine
Prairie Police and the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office attempted to take her into custody, she fled
the scene in a white GMC Acadia. During the pursuit, speeds hit 120mph. The pursuit ended on Chicot
Park Road in front of Chicot Park entrance with the assistance of the Park Rangers. Ms. Anderson was
taken into custody after being medically cleared by Mercy Regional Medical due to the car crash. Ms.
Anderson was booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail on Intimidation of a Witness, Aggravated Flight
from an Officer and Reckless Operation of a vehicle with a $35,000 bond set by Judge West. Chief
