Chief A. Perry Thomas reports an arrest has been made in a case of Second Degree Murder
which occurred at 3:30 p.m. on June 25, 2025, on South Soileau Street in Ville Platte. Jamarion J Hall,
age 18, of Carencro, Louisiana was picked up by Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies on
Wednesday, August 27, 2025, on a warrant issued by Ville Platte City Police on August 19, 2025. He
was then transferred to Ville Platte City Jail on August 28, 2025.
Hall was charged with Second Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm. He is
being held on a bond is $1,535,000.
Chief Thomas asks if anyone has information about this case to please call the Ville Platte Police
Department at 337-363-1316. All calls will remain anonymous. Suspects are presumed innocent unless
found guilty in a court of law.
