Re: April 11 article, Ville Platte Gazette - “Rotary hears about hemp products and trains.”

In the article, Jill Stevens, one of the owners of Central Hemp in the Vidrine community states, “Hemp grows naturally in the Middle East. Jesus used cannabis. It’s an old, ancient form of medication.”
I’m curious as to where in the Gospels, or in what early Christian text, Mrs. Stevens finds her information. Other than using possibly hemp for rope, for which it was indeed used in centuries past, there is nothing of which I’m aware recorded to say that Christ used cannabis as a medication.
I sincerely hope she is not trying to say that just because cannabis MAY have been medicinally used in the Middle East in the first century AD that Jesus DID use cannabis in order to justify it’s present day use, especially in recreational form.
