The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons:

Mamou Elementary School recently announced its honor students for the first nine weeks grading period as follows:

Bayou Chicot Elementary School recently announced its honor students for the first nine weeks grading period as follows:

James Stephens Montessori School recently announced its honor students for the first nine weeks grading period as follows:
First Grade:

The debate scheduled for today, November 3, at 6 p.m. has been cancelled. Three of the four candidates for Ville Platte mayor withdrew from the event late Wednesday night.
