Pictured are the 36 bags of marijuana with an estimated street value of over $100 thousand that were seized by the Ville Platte City Marshal’s Office following a traffic stop on I-49 at the Whiteville exit. The individuals Edwin Pena, 30, of Houston, Texas, and Cristian Diaz, 237, of Baton Rouge were arrested and booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail on charges of manufacture/ distribution of CDS I, possession of CDS IV with intent to distribute, and possession of schedule IV.
