Danyelle Brignac enters plea; sentenced to one year suspended

A Ville Platte native appeared before 13th Judicial District Court Judge Gary Ortego to enter a plea of guilty on one count of theft over $1,000.00.
Danyelle Fruge Brignac was arrested on June 7 after it was discovered she stole $30,623.99 over a period of time from February 2018 to June 2019 while working at the law firm of Anthony Dupre and Kathy Meyers.
Upon entering the plea Wednesday, Brignac was sentenced to serve one year at hard labor suspended and was placed on one year active supervised probation.
As special conditions of probation, Brignac was ordered to pay restitution in full on the date of the plea agreement.
