Minister’s Corner: Abiding

Jesus said, as recorded in John 15:4 KJV, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it aide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”
The Christian life can be condensed into one word; abiding. If a believer can just learn to abide in Jesus; the walls in his life that have caused a separation from God will come crashing down. If we can just learn to go with God and abide in Jesus, even when life makes no sense at all, we will see Him overcome the obstacles we have in our lives. What I’m referring to is a simply disciplined walk that looks to God by faith, We need to come to the point where we realize that we can’t do everything on our own, regardless of what the world may say. When we submit to the Lord, in simple child-like faith, He will guide us safely every step of the way. We need to hold on to God through thick and thin knowing that He has our best interest at heart. This may cause others to raise eyebrows, but don’t let it get to you. Just keep walking, and the Lord will bless you.
