Planting a garden in February can be interesting. Weather is always a factor. Some vegetables to plant in February include tomato, celery, brussel sprouts, eggplant, lettuce, cauliflower, peppers and broccoli. Some of the flowers to plant in February include crocus violets, zinnias and bergenia. Our residents who were avid gardeners are very informative about seasonal planting. Many can no longer do the actual planting, but they still enjoy giving instructions and advice about gardening.

Congratulations to Annie Thomas and Tori Willis, Heritage Manor’s Employees of the Year for 2021. The annual awards ceremony and Employee of the Year celebration was held Thursday, February 17. Many three, five, 10, 20 and 30-year awards were presented by Administrator Trey Prudhomme. Employees of the Year were honored with a plaque and t-shirt, and a cake for all in attendance was served. Many thanks to our employees for their years of dedication and service to our residents. Our short month is almost over. We are looking forward to new ideas and adventures in March.
