(Editor’s Note: The following article was submitted by Patricia Duplechin, resident activity director at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. This column runs every Sunday in The Gazette.)
We wish a blessed and Merry Christmas to everyone from all of us at Heritage Manor. We sincerely hope each and every one has a safe and joyful Christmas. We thank all the great individuals that shared a gift for our residents. We are truly blessed with the outpouring of generosity from our community. The kindness and support we receive is greatly appreciated. We look forward to a new year coming that hopefully brings us closer to having our family members more involved and our volunteers returning.

We thank all the community individuals, Come Lord Jesus members, Catholic Daughters, volunteers, church members, students and our staff for all they did for our residents to make their Christmas a joyful time.
Activities this week include in-room visits, bedside rosary, pokeno, bingo sponsored by the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Olympic games, snack wagon, arts and crafts, auction, group exercise and jingo.
Many thanks this week to Mae’s Flower Shop, Evangeline Home Health, Guardian Hospice, and Bonnes Nouvelles.
We look forward to a new year and pray everything will be good.
