Hospice care is compassionate care for individuals who are facing end of life. Hospice care involves medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support for the individual. It also provides support for the family to help them deal with their loved one’s final phase of life.
Some people aren’t aware that a patient can be on hospice care in a long-term care facility. Hospice will work hand in hand with the staff and nurses in the facility to provide care for your loved one if you are unable to care for them at home. In turn, your loved one receiving hospice care will have both services available to them.
