Grasers celebrate 50 years

Randal and Annette Graser, originally of Ville Platte, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2020.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel was the setting for the marriage of Annette Brunet, daughter of Mrs. Lenus Vizinat and the late Ralph Brunet, and Randal Graser, son of Mrs. Gladney Deville and Ralph Graser of Alexandria on August 8th.
Rev. Landry of Mamou officiated at the 11 o’clock double ring ceremony and nuptial mass. Music was provided by Mrs. Ruth Bellow.
Miss Brunet was escorted to the altar by her stepfather, Lenus Vizinat who gave her in marriage.
The feminine attendants were maid of honor Judy Tremie, Gwen Vidrine, Pat Vidrine, and Kathy Duplechin.
Debbie Deville sister of the groom was the flower girl. She was dressed identical to the bride. She carried a basket of white mums.
The groom attendants were Bobby Darbonne as best man. Groomsmen were Danny Fusilier, Karl Ardoin, Hal Fontenot and Elvin Vidrine all of Ville Platte.
Ushers were Johnny Vizinat and Robley Vidrine.
When the couple left for a wedding trip to New Orleans the new Mrs. Graser traveled in a beige suit with a brown and beige silk blouse. She wore brown accessories. Her corsage was bronze mums.
The bride and groom were graduates from Evangeline Academy. They both attended LSU-E the following fall.
The couple have four children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
