The 38th annual Boggy Bayou Youth Pageant was held Saturday, April 29, at the Pine Prairie High School gym. Winners and runners-up were announced as follows:
Baby Miss: Mary Ellen Dupre, daughter of Ashton and Sarah Dupre of Pine Prairie, was crowned Baby Miss Boggy Bayou. Rounding out the court were Nova McMahon, daughter of CJ and Brooke McMahon of Scott, first alternate; and Magnolia Breaux, daughter of Jason and Erin Breaux of Lake Charles, second alternate.
Baby Mister: Rodney Alleman, son of Gabrielle and Shaina Alleman of Church Point, was named Baby Mister Boggy Bayou.
Toddler Miss: Eda Marie Bias, daughter of Laine and Steven Bias of Pitkin, was chosen as Toddler Miss Boggy Bayou. Her court was completed with Magnolia Jean Mobley, daughter of Jon and Holly Mobley of Sulphur, first alternate; and Kallyn Gail DuBois, daughter of Dillon and Daphne DuBois of Erath, second alternate.
Toddler Mister: Asher James Landreneau, son of Mycah and Tequila Landreneau of Natchitoches, was selected as Toddler Mister Boggy Bayou.
Mini Miss: Amelia Grace Prudhomme, daughter of Lathan and Courtney Prudhomme of St. Landry, was named Mini Miss Boggy Bayou. Willow Grace Miller, daughter of Kayla Johnson and Ursin Miller of Lake Charles, first alternate; and Caroline Fontenot, daughter of Donovan and Ashley Fontenot of Ville Platte, second alternate, were named to the queen’s court.
Tiny Miss: Soryn Reese Cole, daughter of Josh and Kristy Cole of Leesville, captured the title of Tiny Miss Boggy Bayou, with Kayna Miller, daughter of Allison Miller of Oakdale, first alternate; and Oakley Airhart, daughter of Zack and Racquel Airhart of Duson, second alternate, rounding out her court.
Petite Miss: Carmynn Abby Levine, daughter of Jared and Ashley Green of Maurice, was chosen as Petite Miss Boggy Bayou. Her court consisted of Adalynn Rose, daughter of Jeremy and Alexis Dixon of Plaucheville, first alternate; and Brooklynn Turner, daughter of Lindsey Woods and Winfred Turner of Lafayette, second alternate.
Little Miss: Haven Rain Allison, daughter of Jerome and Niomie Allison of Elton, was selected as Little Miss Boggy Bayou. Ada-Claire Traore, daughter of Sory and Keri-Beth Traore of Rayne, first alternate; and Marleigh Cooley, daughter of Kristen Book of Longville, second alternate, were also members of the queen’s court.
Deb Miss: Lyla Cormier, daughter of Jeremy and Donna Cormier of Jennings, was crowned Deb Miss Boggy Bayou. Placing as runners-up to the new Deb Miss queen were Layla Mulligan, daughter of Russell and Kayla McElfresh of Lake Charles, first alternate; and Genevieve Richard, daughter of Wesley and Nicole Richard of Lafayette, second alternate.
