Mr. Hantz, Miss Poche’ united in holy matrimony

Catherine Marie Poche’ and Joshua Paul Hantz were united in the sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at half past six o’clock in the evening at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. The Nuptial Mass was offered by Father Joshua Guillory.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew and Amy Poche’ of Ville Platte. She is the granddaughter of Genevieve Ardoin and the late Jake Ardoin of Ville Platte and Richard Poche’ and the late Charlene Poche’ of Lafayette.
She is a 2017 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Ville Platte and a 2021 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with a minor in chemistry. She is currently applying to physician assistant school.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan and Pam Hantz of Ragley. He is the grandson of Clyde Hantz and the late Mary Hantz of Lake Charles and Leo and Shirley Hebert of Ragley.
He is a 2014 graduate of South Beauregard High School in Longville and a 2019 graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently employed with Entergy in St. Francisville.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a floor-length, A-line, satin strapless gown with a sheer, three-quarter length sleeve jacket and a fingertip-length veil. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory garden roses, hydrangeas, tulips, ranunculus and smilax. Within her bouquet was her family handkerchief and rosary.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Lauren Poche’ Aguillard of Lafayette; while maid of honor was Anne Christian Ardoin of Baton Rouge.
Bridesmaids were Caroline Fontenot, Ashley Goss, Ann-Kathryn Dartez, Noelle Dunn, Emma Domangue, Amanda Hantz and Katlyn Richard.
Flower girls were Genevieve Caulkins, Amelia Landreneau and Avery Hughes.
Serving as best man was Austin Wood of Longville.
Groomsmen were Dylan Elliott, Kyle Curtis, Austin Shultz, Cody Ivey, Tyler Richard, Steven Aguillard, Brandon Soileau and Jose Munoz.
Ushers were Clay Landreneau, Ellis Landreneau and Grayson Broussard.
A reception immediately followed at Stone Oaks Ballroom in Opelousas.
Following a honeymoon to Key Largo and Miami, Florida, the couple has made their home in Baton Rouge.
