Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte provided the setting for a lovely 6:30 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, January 16, 2021, uniting Miss Jennifer Claire Johnson and Mr. David Michael Daire in Holy Matrimony, with Father Mitch Guidry officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Cindy Johnson of Ville Platte. The groom is the son of Lester and Kathy Daire of Ville Platte.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her traditional satin ball gown.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet featuring a mixture of roses and eucalyptus.
Sadie Latiolais served as matron of honor for the special occasion, and Caroline Duplechain served as maid of honor. Both are cousins of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Sadie Fontenot, Lyndsey Brignac, Erin Veillon, Macie Lafleur, Leah Brooke Lafleur, Alexis Ardoin and Jesse Meche.
Flower girls were Kaylee Meche and Katherine Meche.
Derek Fontenot served as best man for the evening ceremony.
Groomsmen were Daniel Daire, Andrew Meche, Brock Viga, Brad Derouen, Zachary Ardoin, Matthew Ardoin, Christian Duplechain and Bryce Morein.
Ringbearers were Miles Daire and Luke Latiolais.
Ushers were Hayden Fontenot, Mason Wright and John Michael Duplechain.
A reception followed at The Ville Platte Golf and Country Club.
Following a honeymoon to Nashville, Tennessee, the couple has made their home in Ville Platte.
