The 39th annual Boggy Bayou Pageant was held Saturday, March 23, at the Pine Prairie High School gym. Winners and runners-up were announced as follows:

Rounding out her court were Layla Faith Mulligan, daughter of Russell and Kayla McElefresh of Lake Charles, first alternate; and Landry Deshotel, daughter of Brandon Deshotel of Mamou and Haley Deshotel of Pine Prairie, second alternate.
Teen Miss: Molly Angelle Johnson, 16-year-old daughter of Clyde Johnson Jr. and Kina Hargrave of Abbeville, captured the Teen Miss Boggy Bayou title. She is a cheerleader and an ambassador for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s talent search program. Johnson enjoys helping her friends at parish livestock shows, camping with her family, traveling, journaling, volunteering with her BETA Club, job shadowing, reading and going to church on Sundays. She was born and raised in Bayou Chicot and comes from a very large family that always makes an effort to attend the festival in support of her late uncle Shane West, who loved performing at the festival more than anything. Johnson said, “He performed through his mesothelioma and was a role model to so many. Because of his strength and love for the festival, it means so much to me to carry on his legacy and advocate for a festival that is so important to my family.”
Also serving as members of the Teen Miss Boggy Bayou court were Cheyenne Messer, daughter of Danny and Angela Deshotel of Ville Platte, first alternate; and Ava Shaye Trahan, daughter of Jeremy and Donna Dauphine of Jennings, second alternate.

Cloud is a member of Freedom Baptist Church, where she is active in Jesus Meals and attends Camp Fuego in the summer. Her true passion is running K Bell Farms, where she raises and shows Nigerian dwarf goats.
