Green Demons topple Bulldogs

By: TONY MARKS Editor It was a paradigm shift of sorts as the Mamou Green Demons pulled off a 72-62 win over the Ville Platte Bulldogs on Tuesday night. With the win, Mamou improved to 21-4 on the season and 3-0 in district.

Girls’ hoops teams end regular season

By: TONY MARKS Editor As of press time, the Ville Platte Lady Bulldogs found themselves in select company as the team was ranked 5th in the unofficial power ratings in Non-Select Division III behind French Settlement, Oak Grove, Westlake, and Springfield.

Green Demons improve to 20-4 on the season

BY: TONY MARKS Editor CROWLEY - The Mamou boys’ basketball team picked up its 20th win of the season as the Green Demons were victorious over the Crowley Gents, 75-54, on Tuesday night. The win, which was the fifth in a row, also improved the team’s record to 2-0 in district play.

By: TONY MARKS Editor PINE PRAIRIE - The Pine Prairie Panthers took one on the chin last Friday night as they suffered a home 63-31 loss against Iota. Jaydin Johnson led the Panthers with 11 points, Hayden Skipper added 4 points.

By: TONY MARKS Editor MAMOU - After two seasons as head football coach of the Mamou Green Demons, Laquintin Lamb has announced his resignation. During his stint as head coach, the Green Demons held a record of 7-13. That was an improvement from the 5-14 record from the prior two seasons.
