Inaugural EP all-star game a success

By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor VILLE PLATTE – The non-profit organization All United Inc. wanted to give back to the premiere high school basketball athletes in Evangeline Parish. One more game after a hard-fought season. Something fun. Something that could grow with the organization as it grew.

Mamou softball breaks losing streak in big way

By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor MAMOU – The Mamou Lady Demons had seen their share of struggles lately. A four-game losing streak against New Iberia, North Vermilion, Iota and Pine Prairie left the Lady Demons with some frustration it needed to get out.
The co-MVP, and last season’s MVP, led Sacred Heart to a district championship. Shiver got better as the year went on, with her game becoming more complete than it was last year. Shiver’s growth as player, person drives MVP repeat

By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor A huge part of sports and what they supply people is the opportunity for growth. Sports are one of the most efficient ways for people to improve themselves in so many areas.

VPHS’s Wilson small frame left huge legacy

VPHS’s Papillion not shying from next step

By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor Personality wise, there is nothing Hollywood about Ville Platte junior guard Sage Papillion. His frame is unintimidating. His game isn’t flashy. All-in-all, he gives the air of a pretty straight-forward person.
