On behalf of Brittany Guillory Fontenot, the Malveaux family would like to thank KLFY TV-10 for helping us get this alleged suicide message out to the community.
The family of Brittany Guillory Fontenot continues to seek answers for the alleged suicide that occurred on April 13, 2023. During the interview, it was said that Brittany’s husband Ray Fontenot Jr. found her dead in the home. However, Ray Fontenot Jr. and the children were present in the home at the time of the alleged suicide.
Ray Fontenot Jr. stated that they had been fighting before the alleged suicide. Again, this needs to be noted that they were in the middle of a separation.
According to Sheriff Charles Guillory, this investigation has been extensively working with the District Attorney’s office to review every piece of evidence, including the weapons from the scene. However, when Mrs. Malveaux called the DA’s office, it was told to her that the Honorable Trent Brignac knew nothing of the case.
There are still a lot of unanswered questions. Mrs. Malveaux went to the crime scene, and there was no crime tape at the scene. However, there were several people at the crime scene, including his mother, Sarah Fontenot; his father, Ray Fontenot Sr.; both sisters, Bershonica Sam of Lake Charles and Shanna Fontenot of Ville Platte; the neighbor; and the co-worker. According to my records, none of the ones listed above were questioned or provided statements. What kind of investigation is this?
Remember, there were three shots to the head and face area with two different guns. How is this possible?
