Staff Report Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, April 4, were dispatched to the 3100 Blk. of Tate Cove Rd. located in the unincorporated area of Ville Platte in reference to a simple burglary and a motor vehicle theft.

OBERLIN – Louisiana State Police have identified the driver in a fatal crash on Friday, April 29, near Oberlin as Teela Louise Christian, 37, of Mamou.

Red Ford Escape flees from PPPD

Staff Report Pine Prairie Police, on Wednesday, April 27, attempted to make a traffic stop on a red Ford Escape for a speeding violation. The vehicle failed to yield to officers and hit speeds of 90 to 95 mph on Beaver Road, driving recklessly in the attempt to flee.
