Alex Cora’s reaction at shortstop for Miami is still etched in my mind. From that point on, I was hooked as a fan. My dad took me to my first game at the old Alex Box Stadium in 2000 as a high school graduation present. The old Box was located at the corner of Nicholson and what is now called Skip Bertman Drive. I remember thinking back then the stadium was a jewel.
