Campaign announcement: Clearwater resident seeks seat on Evangeline Parish Police Jury

A resident of the Clearwater community has announced his intention to run for Evangeline Parish Police Juror in District 4.
“I, Robert Johnson #81, announce I will be running for police juror for District 4,” Johnson said in his announcement. “I am from the Clearwater community in northern Evangeline Parish. I have been married to my lovely wife Lisa Crawford Johnson for 32 years. She is from Pine Prairie. We are proud parents of four children and have 12 grandchildren.”
Johnson’s announcement continued as follows: “I’ve been in the construction industry for 30-plus years. I am not a politician. I am a hard working tax payer and am very concerned about the issues here in District 4.”
“I would like one day to see all parish roads to be blacktopped in District 4. I live on a half mile parish road that has been chip sealed five times, and it does not last. If elected, I will try to soil cement all roads here in District 4. You have to build a foundation before you can build a good road.”
“I am also concerned about the crime and addictions here in our parish. To keep our communities safe, I would, if elected, like to work with the next sheriff to combat these issues.”
“I also would like to get more recreation and development activities for the youth here in District 4.”
“If elected, I promise to serve with honesty and integrity and to serve all of District 4 with the best of my ability. I would like to ask for your vote on October 12. Thank you, and may God bless you and our community.”
