Miss and Ms. Boggy Bayou Pageant date is set for April 4

The 36th Annual Miss & Ms. Boggy Bayou Queen’s Pageant is set for Saturday, April 4.
There will be interviews at 9 a.m. at Prairie Manor Nursing Home’s activity department.
Interview attire is denim pants or skirts (dark or light) no holes, no capris, festival shirt (which will be provided), any color or style heels, no sandals, no boots, no wedges, no tennis shoes. Contestants must tuck shirt in and wear a belt if there are belt loops. Hair and makeup are to be casual, no hats, no ponytails. Contestants are encouraged to choose colorful heels and embellish your shirts in anyway you would like that will help show the judges your style/personality.
A stage competition will follow at 2 p.m. at the festival grounds. Contestants are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior to start time.
Stage attire is evening gown with formal hair and makeup.
Miss contestants will be required to answer one onstage question, however possible question options will be given to contestants at interview prior to stage competition.
Entry fee is $75 per contestant which includes festival shirt. Deadline to enter is Friday, April 3.
A Queen and First and Second Runner-Up will be selected. Contestants will vote for Miss Congeniality at the interview, and the winner will be announced during the afternoon competition. Miss contestants must be at least 17 years of age and must have never been married nor have any children. The new Miss Queen is contracted and, among other things, is required to represent the Boggy Bayou Festival in at least 10 festivals throughout her reign and compete in the four-day 2021 LAFF Queen of Queens Pageant Event-Baton Rouge. The festival pays entry and lodging for Queen during LAFF. The Queen is also required to visit Prairie Manor Nursing Home as often as possible. The new Miss Queen also receives $500.00 cash scholarship at the end of her successful reign. The queen receives a 10-inch customized crown which she is responsible for should any damage occur.
Ms. Contestant must be at 21 years of age or older, either married, single, children or no children to qualify to compete. The new Ms Queen is also contracted and required to attend a certain amount of festivals to promote Boggy Bayou as well as visit the Prairie Manor nursing home as often as possible.
