Isaac Ingram, a 16 year old junior at Basile High School, placed first in the bull riding competition with a score of 69 at the Tri-Parish High School Rodeo held Saturday, October 7, in Crowley at the Rice Arena. His score earned the cowboy a buckle and the right to compete at the Louisiana High School State Finals at Burton Colesium in Lake Charles May 28- June 2, 2018.
Ingram has been around rodeos most of his life and has competed in the Acadiana Youth Rodeo Association (AYRA) since he was a young boy. He has only been riding bulls, however, since July. He follows in the foot steps of his dad, grandfather, and two uncles, all who competed in rodeos.
