Chris Soileau was elected as the new Chairman of the Board at Thursday’s meeting of the Ville Platte Fire and Police Civil Service Board. Venita Doucet was elected as the new Vice Chairperson of the Board.
“I am honored to serve my fellow board members as their chairman,” Soileau said.
In other action, the Board approved the following personnel actions:
• Joel Manuel as probational fire captain.
• The resignations of Cedric Jackson and Brandon Gautreaux from the V.P.P.D.
• The resignation of Brian Duplechain from the V.P.F.D.
• Military leave for Aaron Clark and Landon Marsh.
• Grade transfer for Colby Dupre for entry level firefighter.
