Daniel Thomas Sanders, MD, Col. (Ret), 83, of Indianapolis, entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2018. He was born on August 9, 1934, in DeRidder to the late James W. and Erie M. Sanders.
He completed a full career in the U.S. Army as a flight surgeon before beginning work as an anesthesiologist. His medical career spanned 50 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gay New Sanders; six children, Dr. Melanie Sanders, Pamela Harrington, Tracy Williams, FNP, Daniel T. Sanders, Dawn Usher and Karl Deen Sanders; 19 grandchildren and 30+ great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers Dr. James W. Sanders II and Dr. Jack Robert Sanders.
He was laid to rest in The Gardens at Olive Branch, Greenwood Indiana on March 9, 2018.
