LDWF accepting lottery hunt applications

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is now accepting applications for disabled veterans, physically challenged, youth and regular deer and waterfowl lottery hunts for the 2018-19 hunting season.
Disabled veterans and regular waterfowl hunts will take place on Sherburne Wildlife Management Areas (WMA). The deadline to submit an application for the WMA lottery hunt is September 28, 2018.
Physically challenged individuals or disabled veterans interested in applying for a deer lottery hunt must submit their application to the LDWF by August 31st. The physically challenged individual selected will earn a hunt on Sabine and Floy McElroy WMAs, while the disabled veteran selected will partake in a deer hunt on Camp Beauregard WMA during the upcoming hunting season.
Youth hunters who wish to apply for the deer lottery hunt must submit their application by August 31st. The deer lottery hunts will be held on Buckhorn, Dewey W. Willis, Floy Ward McElroy, Richard K. Yancey and Sherburne WMAs.
The deadline for youth hunters to submit their application for the waterfowl lottery hunts is September 28th, with the hunts taking place on Bayou Pierre and Sherburne WMAs.
Youth hunts are restricted to hunters between the ages of 10 and 17. Individuals under the age of 10 may apply only if he or she will be 10 on or before the date of the lottery hunt.

The LDWF requires all individuals to submit a $5 administrative fee with each application.
