The Ville Platte Police Department reported the following recent arrests. Arrested were the following persons:
• Maranda Gauthier, 37, 1189 N. Chataignier St. Apt 25, Ville Platte, was arrested on April 17, 2021, for simple assault. Gauthier was released on a $500.00 bond.
• Chaka Collins, 21, 1345 Kendell St., Ville Platte, was arrested on April 17, 2021, for battery of a dating partner. Collins was released on a $1,200.00 bond.
• Ferdella Roussell, 68, 1524 Blake St., Ville Platte, was arrested on April 20, 2021, for disturbing the peace. Roussell remains incarcerated on a $200.00.
