Several arrested for recent Ville Platte thefts

Officers of the Ville Platte Police Department, over the past few weeks, have responded to a series of thefts within the city.
According to a spokesperson with the department, the thefts are not related, and there is no connection between them. The individuals were arrested on different days for different reasons.
“One theft was for beer, one was mistaken identity of someone who didn’t pay for their meal (the correct person was identified and paid), one was for products from Dollar General, one was for products from Dollar Tree, and two were thefts from Walmart,” said the spokesperson.
Those arrested were the following: Perry Voris, 25, 315 Reed St.; Rhonda Rollins, 38, 153 Leamon St.; Reneika Thomas, 32, 919 Owen St; Heather Williams, 22, 220 E. Jefferson St.; Fontella Malveaux, 32, 1317 Cherry St. and Drake Lee, 19, 4414 Opelousas Rd.
