Scenic Dr. suspect is arrested

VILLE PLATTE- In the middle part of last week, officers in Ville Platte arrested a suspect for trespassing in the Shady Acres Subdivision of the city. During the incident, it was learned the suspect had previously been convicted of a felony.
According to a press release from Chief of Police Neal Lartigue, “On June 12, 2019, at approximately 4 a.m., officers with the Ville Platte Police responded to a suspicious persons report on Scenic Drive in Ville Platte. When officers arrived in the area, they observed three black males walking from a driveway heading away from a residence. The three suspects fled, and officers were able to locate one of the suspects hiding in a bush. The suspect they located had a firearm in his possession. Officers searched the area for the other two suspects but were unable to locate them.”
The press release continued as follows: “Arrested was Christopher Tezeno, 23, 1111 North Chataignier, Apartment 24, in Ville Platte. Tezeno was charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count of criminal trespassing, one count of disturbing the peace by intoxication, and one count of criminal mischief. Tezeno was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail and transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail on a $54,000.00 bond.”
