The Evangeline Community Action Agency, Inc. is announcing the availability of funds dedicated to assist low-income household that may be facing eviction due to loss of employment or reduced wages. All applications are taken on a first come first serve basis.
An eligible household is one who has past-due rental notice or eviction notice and their total income is at or below the levels listed in the table below. Applicants must provide, at a minimum, the following documentation at the time the application is taken: (1) proof of past due notice or eviction notice (2) copies of each household member’s actual social security number, (3) current proof(s) of income of all household members, (4) a driver’s license or picture I.D. of the applicant. If it is determined additional documentation is required, the applicant will be notified at the time of application. Households reporting “Zero Income” may be required to provide additional document ation. All information provided is subject to verification. Intentional misrepresentation of information may result in criminal prosecution of the applicant and anyone assisting in the misrepresentation.
