Qualifying fees for November election are set

According to Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court, Randy Deshotel, qualifying dates for the upcoming Fall elections, November 3, will be Wednesday, July 22, Thursday, July 23, Friday, July 24. Qualifying will be held at the Clerk of Court’s office in the Evangeline Parish Courthouse from the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each of the qualifying days.
Qualifying fees are as follows:
District Judge;
Divisions A and B:
Independents or
No Party: $300.00
Democrats $450.00
Republicans $450.00

District Attorney:
Independents or
No Party: $225.00
Democrats: $337.50
Republicans: $337.50

Ville Platte City
Court Judge:

Ville Platte
City Marshal:

Only cash or money orders or cashier’s checks will be accepted as payment for qualifying fees. If it is a money order or cashier’s check, it must be made payable to the Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court.
