On December 7th , 2019 a Pine Prairie Police Officer was on patrol when he noticed a Tan colored
Dodge Ram Pickup matching the description of a stolen vehicle from Ville Platte in the yard of 1818 4 th
Street. To verify, a check of the plate was done and confirmed it is in fact the stolen vehicle. Contact
was made with a Gregory Ardoin and a Kylan Ardoin at the residence and it was discovered that both
suspects had been using the stolen vehicle. With the assistance of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s
Office and Turkey Creek Police, both suspects were arrested for the possession of the stolen vehicle.
Also recovered in the vehicle was a 12 gauge shotgun that was also stolen out of Acadia Parish. A
search warrant was secured for the residence and a search of the residence came up with another
stolen firearm and other illegal narcotics. Kylan Ardoin was charged with 3 counts of Possession of
stolen items, 1 count of Possession of Schedule 2 with the intent to distribute Crystal Meth, 1 count of
Possession of Schedule 2 Destroamphetamine, 1 count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 1
count of Possession of Schedule 5 Promethazine. He was transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail on
those charges with no bond set by Judge West. Gregory Ardoin was booked into the Evangeline Parish
Jail on 2 counts of Possession of Stolen items with a $35,000 bond set by Judge West. Chief Deshotel
