PPPD makes narcotics arrest

On July 11, 2020 Pine Prairie Police received a complaint about a juvenile being in possession of what appeared to be marijuana. Upon investigation, Officer Eckhart made contact with the mother of the juvenile, Stacey Babin and it was found that she was in possession of what is believed to be marijuana, crystal meth and drug paraphernalia. Babin was then transported to the Evangeline Parish Jail on said charges with a $9,000 bond set by Judge Ortego. Chief Deshotel wants to remind the public to report any suspicious activity and thanks the public for the information received.
