Roy Chaffin is known for playing that old-time music that makes you just want to dance.
“I like my audience to have a good time,” he relates as he talks about the upcoming Boggy Bayou Festival, where he will headline Friday night.
Chaffin will entertain the crowds on Friday night, May 7, from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. Admission for the day on Friday is only $6 for adults.
“I’ve played several times at the festival,” he adds with a smile. “Even in the early days of the festival.”
Chaffin wanted to perform one last time at the festival years ago but is quick to admit, “You never know what the future holds. I may do it again.”
He and his wife, Sue, reside in Turkey Creek. He enjoys playing music in his spare time and for special events.
“I’d like to invite everyone to please come out and support the festival and listen to our show. We plan on having a good time.
“Bring your dancing shoes and be ready to dance,” Chaffin says in his invitation. “We are sure going to do our best to make you want to dance,” he grins.
